Four seniors and two juniors were on the list for the 2A all-state football teams when they were announced last week. The teams are voted on by coaches across the classification and then published by the Deseret News.

Seniors Derek Canterbury and Maddex Christman were voted to the first team, while Jace Curtis and Tyler Stilson made the second team. Juniors Kelby Jones and Treg Miller received honorable mentions.

Canterbury, a 6′ 200 pound offensive linemen did not allow any sacks all year. Christman, a linebacker, collected 99 tackles, 14 for a loss in 11 games played this season.

Running back Jace Curtis made the second team this season after receiving an honorable mention last year. In an injury plagued season in which he only played four games Curtis still managed 74 carries for 412 yards and seven touchdowns, he also had seven receptions for 97 yards. Stilson was on the defensive side playing linebacker and also earned second team honors collecting 77 total tackles, 14 for a loss and 10 total sacks on the season in eleven games.

In the honorable mention category junior defensive players Kelby Jones and Treg Miller both were named to the list. Jones had eight sacks with two caused fumbles and Miller had 29 total tackles and grabbed three interceptions.
