The Carbon Dinos wrestling team was on the road for another weekend tournament when they traveled to Grand Junction for the Warrior Classic Invitational. Trevor Jones went 3-2 on the weekend as wrestlers Ashtun Guymon and Jonathan Jewkes posted two wins each in their weight class.

Wrestling at 113 pounds Jones won all three of his matches by pin. losing his final match to Kalob More of Hayden High School by way of pin.

Guymon, received a bye in his first round match-up, and then fell out of the championship bracket by losing an 8-5 decision to Laine Kougl of Ralston Valley. Guymon would win his next match with an 8-2 decision over Jack Helgerson of Fort Collins.

Jewkes, wrestling at 182 pounds received a bye in his first round as well. Losing his second match by pin to Brendan Clatterbaugh of Meeker, Jewkes fell into the consolation round defeating Bode Hogan of Broomfield 6-2. Jewkes fell in his final match to Micah Robertson of Fort Collins by a 3-1 decision.

The Dinos are now off until Dec. 30 and 31 when they will once again be on the road at the Ben Lomond Duels.
