It’s time for Price City’s Annual St Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 12 at 12:00 pm on Main Street and Parade Coordinator, Megan Marshall is looking for entries and Grand Marshall nominees.

“Since we introduced registration on the website a few years ago, it’s really been streamlined and it’s makes it really easy to not only jump on there to nominate a Grand Marshall but also to enter your float. Its one quick registration form to fill out, it’s still free to participate. It’s just https://www.pricecityutah.com/ you jump on there, fill out that form really quick, and then your spot is set,” stated Marshall. One of the benefits in participating in the parade is it’s a wonderful advertisement opportunity for any business, sports team, school and civic organizations.

The usual float awards will be presented for Mayor’s Choice, Most Beautiful, Funniest, Most Festive and Chairman’s Choice. “We’re working with ETV and they’re offering advertising packages in different sizes for different winners. We’re also doing the text to vote system for the Viewer’s Choice, so the participants in the crowd are texting in their favorite float and that has introduced a whole new level of competitiveness, it’s so much fun,” said Marshall. The types of parade entries can range from a float, to a vehicle or even a group just walking the parade route the possibilities are endless.

The parade committee is now looking for Grand Marshall nominees. “What we’re looking for, and again this is open to the public to submit a nomination for a community member that really loves our community. You know that has gone above and beyond to support this area and its citizens. On the nomination form, on Price City’s website, we simply ask that you submit their name and a brief summary as to why you think they should be nominated as Grand Marshall,” explained Marshall. The deadline to nominate an individual for Grand Marshall is February 27.
