Needing just five innings to take care of business on Tuesday, the Carbon Dinos sluggers put up 10 runs in the third that spelled the end for the Judge Memorial Bulldogs at the high school baseball field.

Five Dinos had two RBI’s each and seven player registered at least one hit in a contest where Carbon scattered nine hits and the Bulldogs registered nine errors.

Judge scored the first run in the game from a triple to center in the top of the first from the bat of Aaydan Saucedo, then the bulldog bats would go quiet until the top of the fifth thanks in part to the Dinos Beau Vea who collected the win giving up six hits and two earned while striking out four.

The third was all Dinos, heading into the inning up 2-1 the Dinos collected six hits, four of which were doubles and five walks as they put 10 runs on the score more none more exciting than during Braxtin Henrie’s second at bat of the inning when Colton Lowe would score on a wild pitch and then Henrie would send a double to right field that brought in Dallen Oneil.

Carbon went back to work in the fourth when Judge would help them out walk three batters and committing three errors that was responsible for three runs the other came from the bat of Lowe whose single brought in Rylan Hart.

Headed into the top of the fifth with the game well in hand the Dinos surrendered just one run and close out the Bulldogs in five.

The Dinos are starting to find their groove moving their record to 3-5 overall. The pre-season schedule will end on Wednesday when Juab comes to Price.

Juab finished last season with a 24-4 record falling to Carbon last season in the one-loss final. Many believe they could be the team to beat in 3A this year, and perhaps they will come to Price looking for a bit of revenge.

You can catch all the action Wednesday on KOAL 107.3 FM or 750 AM starting at 3 p.m.. The game can also be streamed by clicking HERE, and following the Carbon link.
