Coming off a region loss last Friday at Emery, the Dinos were ready to move on, and did so on Tuesday as they traveled to Cedar City to face Canyon View. This was the first time these two have met up this year as Canyon View joined Region 12 at the beginning of the school year. Both teams battled to a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation and took the game into a shootout with Carbon coming away with the 3-2 win.

The Dinos have been making their way through the schedule this season with wins over American Leadership at a tournament in St. George last weekend and region wins over Richfield and Emery. As we head into the last week of March with the regular season ending on April 25, Carbon has just seven games left on the schedule.

The game with Canyon View started slowly as neither team was able to put a goal on the board on the first half. That changed in the second half when they both found the back of the net, tying up the score and forcing a shootout, going back and forth until Carbon came up with the 3-2 win.

Luke Brady scored the lone goal for the Dinos, which allowed Carbon the opportunity to take the game into the shootout.

Next up, a region match-up with Grand at home on Thursday. Grand went, 10-2 last season including a perfect 8-0 region record, they are being lead by first year head coach Laura Reed.

The game with Grand is set to begin at 4 p.m..
