Jeanne Diane Wright Taskar passed away in her home on April 21, 2022, surrounded by her children.

Jeanne was born in Sandy, Utah on January 19, 1938 to Harold Walter and Catherine Nichol Wright. She caught the eye of Thomas Anton Taskar, who presented her father Harold Wright with four tires and asked for her hand in marriage. This blessed union produced Tammy Taskar, Brian Taskar, Diane (John) Sisneros, Tracy Lehman, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She is survived by people that are not dead!

Jeanne was known as Mrs. Taskar by generations of Sally Mauro students. She worked for the Carbon School District for 42 years. She was a lifelong learner; she obtained a bachelor’s degree at age 50 while working full time. CEU sent her as a delegate to a regional business competition where she was a finalist.

During her life, she and her husband Tom were always engaged and both developed close ties with their Scofield friends. Jeanne’s peace was gardening, and her yard was a show-stopper. At one point she finally won Helper yard of the month!!

Vacations for her family meant camping. She taught all the grandkids how to fish a high, cold, clear stream.

The family suggests that instead of flowers, please consider sending memorial contributions to Second Chance Wildlife Rehabilitation in Jeanne’s honor. The establishment accepts Venmo and Paypal, or send the contributions to PO Box 430, Price, Utah 84501.

Memorial Mass, Friday, May 6, 2022, 11:00 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper, Utah. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories of Jeanne online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
