Robert Stanley Andersen, age 73, passed away on May 15, 2022.

He was born on February 23, 1949 in San Diego, California to Niels Henry and Pauline Roberta Wiseman Andersen.

Married Martha Irene Gileno on February 14, 1991 in East Carbon, Utah.

GOAT was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

GOAT shared a great love for the outdoors, especially chopping wood with a bow saw, camping, and wandering in the woods. He was a survivalist who could live off the land.

He loved his dog, Bushman; he was his pride and joy and went everywhere with his dog.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Andersen, Columbia; sister, Diane Harper, Galena, KS; brother, Jim Andersen, Montgomery, OH; in-laws, Sharron (Lyle) Albaugh, Lindon, UT, Marie (Fred) Owens, East Carbon, Burt (Lani) Gileno, Jr., Newark, CA, Dolores Burnsides, Columbia, Phillip Gileno, Hayward, CA, Jenny Gileno, Los Lunas, NM; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents; sister, Janice Chilcott; in-laws, John Krauss and Anna Gileno Krauss.

Funeral service, Friday, May 20, 2022, 11:00 a.m., East Carbon Ward Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service.  Interment, East Carbon City Cemetery.   Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are welcome to share memories at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
