
Domingo (John) Solis, 75, passed away July 20, 2022, at the University of Utah.
He was born September 15, 1946 in Bertram, Texas to Simon and Rita Sisneros Rojas Solis. John and Virginia Martinez were soulmates since September 15, 1975 and they enjoyed the past 47 years raising their families in Helper, Utah.
John was a member of the Catholic Church. He has resided in his beloved Helper since 1975 when he began shearing sheep. He was a hard worker, which allowed him to support and provide for his family. Construction work took him all over the country while working alongside his son.
He was an avid gardener, who enjoyed picking watermelons in Green River and returning to Price to sell them and cantaloupes. John also sold Hatch green chiles and pecans in Price.
Pool was a passion he had in life, and he was good at it. John played in pool leagues for many years, earning top shooter in those leagues.
John loved his family the most, enjoying barbeques, fishing and camping with them, especially going to Las Vegas and Sante Fe. Never in a hurry, John was in his element in the great outdoors with his beloved family.

Funeral Mass, Monday, July 25, 2022, 10:00 a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church. Vigil service, Sunday evening, 7:00 p.m. at the church in Helper. Family will receive friends at St. Anthony’s Sunday and Monday one hour prior to the services. Committal service, Mt. View Cemetery, Helper, Utah.
