Our loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Laurie Anne Telarole, age 64, left her mortal existence and moved on to spend eternity with Jesus on July 22, 2022.

She was born in Price, Utah, to William Anthony Kos and Verle Ann Alger on May 7, 1958.  She was the third of three children.  She graduated from Carbon High School in 1976.  She then attended College of Eastern Utah for a couple of quarters until her life journey took her away to begin a different path.  She lived in Colorado and Wyoming for a period of time before returning to Utah.

Once returning to Carbon County, she worked in the secretarial field for over 25 years in a variety of job positions that included management and administration.  Her work environment ranged from mining and cement companies to Red Cross Services in Salt Lake City, as well as Workforce Services in Price working for Utah State government.

In 2001, Laurie was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis; she applied for disability and had to stop working. Since that time, she also acquired several other physical ailments to include diabetes, heart problems and multiple myeloma cancer.

Laurie was very happily married to Raymond H. Telarole since February 16, 2005.  Ray and Laurie met when they were both in their teens.  Unbeknownst to them at that time, they were meant to be lifelong soulmates.  Timing is everything to God, and their time to finally be together and married to each other was later in their lives.  Over their 40+ year life journey, they would keep in touch from time to time until Ray finally moved back from  New York to Utah.  It wasn’t until God’s perfect timing intervened in 2005 when He showed them that it was finally THEIR time.  They’ve been together ever since, and they know they will be together again in Heaven for all of eternity.  In Heaven, there is no “time” as we know time here.

Laurie is survived by her husband Raymond; her brother, Michael Scott Kos; sister-in-law Susie Kos, sister-in-law, Dawn S. Kos, sister-in-law; and brother-in-law, Shauna and David O’Brien; stepson, Brian Telarole; stepdaughter, Lauren Telarole; six nieces and nephews, extended family as well as many loving, life-long friends. Laurie was never blessed with any children of her own, but she learned to very easily love her stepchildren and families that became a part of her journey as she went through her life.

Preceded in death by her mother, Verle Ann Kos; father, William Anthony Kos; oldest brother, William Gregory Kos; and niece, Mary Juson Kos.

Laurie loved her husband Raymond, her family and friends, and her many pets with her entire will, heart and strength.  She always said and believed that animals show us the purest kind of unconditional love, and that people could learn so much from these loving creatures if they would just take more time to pay attention to their message of love to us.

She liked to learn new things.  She loved to read, crochet, knit, sew, and really loved fishing in a stream.  Laurie also enjoyed oil painting, home decoration, cooking, loved to laugh and watch comedy shows.  She was happiest when she was around family and friends. She always tried to see the very best in every person who came into her life, but at times, this cost her more than the relationships ended up being worth.  Laurie hoped the people in those relationships with her learned valuable life lessons as well.

Most of all, because of her many trials in life and her poor health in later years, she considered her greatest and most valuable blessing in life to be how all of it drew her to have such a close, strong, personal relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ.  She also considered herself to be very incredibly blessed to have also married the love of her life, her soulmate and best friend Raymond.

The family wishes to thank the owners and staff at Heirloom Inn for their tender, loving care of Laurie in her last years of life.  Because of their time spent at Heirloom, she and Raymond were able to become stress-free and concentrate on their health issues as well as their time together.  They also wish to thank Dr. Gagon, Dr. Nuttall, Dr. Galli, Castleview Hospital, and Symbii Hospice and their very capable and compassionate staffs for tending to Laurie’s care until she passed.

Cremation is to be performed, and Laurie’s ashes are to be buried in Mountain View Cemetery in Helper with a graveside service taking place Tuesday, August 9, 2022, 11:00 a.m. The service will be performed by Pastor Steve Swinburne of Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Price, and the hospice chaplain, Andrew Lasslo.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, where family and friends are always welcome and may share memories of Laurie online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to one of Laurie’s favorite charities that care for animals, or perhaps to research regarding a cure for cancer, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, or heart disease.
