Our loving, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend, Leroy “Skip” Gene Noone Sr., age 78, was called home to be with his hun on September 25, 2022 after a brain bleed caused by dementia.
Skip was born on September 8, 1944 in Rockford, Illinois to Peter Henry and Florence Jane Stevens Noone. He had seven brothers and sisters.
Skip married Shirley Wheaton in 1961 and they had four children together. They later divorced and he met the love of his life Debbie Dennis. They married on December 3, 1976 together they had two daughters. Debbie then passed away on May 8, 2022 and he has been longing to be with her again ever since.
Skip was a hard worker. He left school at 11 years old to go to work and help provide for his family. He worked various jobs, his last one being a welder for Morgantown for 12 years until he retired in 2013. During his younger years he loved driving in the demolition derby where he took home many prizes.
Skip loved old cars and a good game of dice or poker.
Skip is survived by his children, Leroy “Skipper” Noone Jr.; Bruce Noone, Karla Benoit, Jailene (Shane) Lindsey and Christie Noone; grandchildren, Charity Noone, Amber Livingston, Lane (Ashlyn) Pell, Bobbie Pell, Ashley (Jordan) Justice, Robert Schade, Kyle Schade, Jeremiah Noone, Bruce (Ashlyn) Noone Jr., Seth Hanson, Tiesha Sandoval, Shaynie (Zach) Cross, Gilbert Sandoval (Gabriella Olivas), Jaidan (Jose) Delgado, Astaysha Norton, Barbara (Joe) Gallegos; siblings, Rita (Jim) Messenger and Robert Noone; 27 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Noone; parents, Peter and Florence Noone; siblings, Donna (Delbert) Croom, Richard (Ethelyn) Noone, Shirley Noone, Peter (Deanna) Noone, Louis Noone; sister-in-law, Marion Noone; son, Luke Noone; niece, Nicole Chavira; and great-nephew, Jerron Dennis.
