Rozlyn Stowe and the Carbon Dino cross country team spent last weekend in Boise, Idaho at the Bob Firman Cross Country Invitational. Teams from states throughout the region competed, and in the girls division none were faster then Carbon freshman Stowe who claimed first place turning in a time of  18:34, out of a field of 130 runners.

Stowe has been lighting up cross country this season earning numerous top finishes as a freshman.

Highland took the top spot for the girls, followed by Idaho Falls, Coeur D’Laine rounded out the top three with Carbon at four and Boise in fifth.

For the Dinos, after Stowe and her first place finish, Ambree Jones finished 13th overall. Lindsie Fausett (26), Sophie Taylor (37) and Beverly Lancaster (45) rounded out the top five for Carbon.

Centenial claimed the top spot on the team side for the boys. Highland, Brighton, Burley and Hellgate rounded out the top five.

For the Carbon boys, it was Braxton Ware that finished in 13th place overall. Easton Humes (19), Sean Stromness (65), Logan McEvoy (72) and Nathan Engar (74) rounded out the top five finishers for the Dinos.

The cross country team will be back on the trail on Wednesday as they will head to Grand for a region meet.
