The Lady Dino soccer team celebrated this year’s seniors on Thursday with the final regular season game against the Grand Red Devils.  Taking control in the first half, Carbon kept at Grand all contest taking an 8-0 win.

Carbon came out firing, putting up six goals in the first half. They added two more in the second half, plus Emma Flemett and Jenna Jeffrey split a shutout between the pipes defensively.

Kinley Cowdell found the back of the net four times and added one assist. Beverly Lancaster and Shalyce Rahaula each added a goal and an assist. Ada Bradford and Mia Crompton each had a goal, while Kacie Brady added two assists and Flemett and Bailey Johnson also had an assist a piece.

The Dinos are 11-4-1 and ended the regular season with a 6-2 Region 12 record, and now like everyone else in 3A they wait.

The UHSAA will release the final RPI for the season and the bracket for the 3A State Championships. The bracket will be revealed on Oct. 5 with the playoffs beginning on Oct. 8.

The first three rounds will take place at home sites with the semifinals being played at Jordan High School starting on October 20 and the finals will happen on Oct. 20 at Zions Bank Stadium.
