The annual Family Support and Children’s Justice Center’s Trunk or Treat and Spook Alley event will take place on Monday, October 31 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Director, Shelley Wright to get all the spooky details.

“We started our Trunk or Treat, I want to say it was actually 2018 or 2019, and in 2020 we did just a drive-by, gave the children candy and that’s it. Then we had an amazing Trunk or Treat in 2021, which I think the entire community was at our center and along the streets, so we’re excited this year,” said Wright. It was so busy that the organization had to designate candy runners to go buy more candy for all the participants that came through the event.

If you as a family or your organization/business would like to enter a trunk there is still time and room to sign up. “They are going to contact Jamie at our center, her number is (435) 636-3736, request to enter your trunk in for our Trunk or Treat. We definitely need more decorated trunks, please do so and contact Jamie and show up by 1:00 pm to get your trunk set up,” stated Wright. The event will be held at the center’s location of 80 South Fairgrounds Way in Price. Now if you are unable to enter a trunk for the event but would still like to help with the cause, you can donate unopened bags of candy to the center for the annual Trunk or Treat.

The Family Support and Children’s Justice Center’s had some issues last year with folks parking along the road which posed a problem for traffic and pedestrians. “We had a sign directing people to park in Active Re-Entry’s parking lot and we’re going to do that again this year. We may need help from our Sheriff’s Department to help direct the traffic because it got really chaotic along that street. We just want this to be safe, so we’re asking all those who are coming to please park in the parking lot of Active Re-Entry,” explained Wright. If everyone uses the Active Re-Entry parking area it shouldn’t pose a problem for traffic on the main road.

The next big event for the Family Support and Children’s Justice Center’s is the annual Christmas Tree Regalia coming up in November/December. If you would like more information about the Family Support and Children’s Justice Center visit their website or social media pages.
