William Chan Snyder, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 5, 2022.
Chan was born on June 13, 1961 to William and Joan Snyder in Price, Utah.
If you had the opportunity to meet Chan, you would know that he had a relentless work ethic. This started at a young age when he dug a hole in his parent’s basement to make a room of his own. He started his first job at Price Steel Fabrication at the age of fourteen. Chan enjoyed his time working for Carbon County Ambulance, but most of his work life was spent at the coal mines. This was his passion. He would always tell his family about the projects that he was working on.
Chan liked being seen as the old man that would outwork all the younger guys. He was able to do this because he took incredible care of his body. The only thing that he enjoyed doing more than work was working out.
Chan was humble, but we all know he was very proud of his hard work. Nothing was more important to him than his family. As much as he loved working, he would never hesitate to make the time for his family. Chan was one of a kind and was the most selfless person you’ll ever meet. Every chance that he had to help someone out, he would. Random acts of kindness were something that he believed in very much. If you had the pleasure of knowing Chan, he left a lasting impact on your life.
Survived by his wife, Torie Snyder; sons, Tyson Lasley (Anika Bailey), Nick Snyder (Kecia Vigil), and Rylin Snyder (Nyet Rasmussen); grandchildren, Seth Snyder, Ryley Lasley, Kaizlee Snyder; father, Bill Snyder (Sandy); and siblings, Corinne Evans (Larry), Allison Lea (Brian), and Joni Moosman (Kory).
