Bonnie Jean Fisher Duffin Minnoch was born on September 28, 1926 and reunited with her eternal sweetheart on November 17, 2022.
Bonnie was born at The Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents, Joseph Schley Fisher and Rita Faun Conover Fisher and older sister, Faun Elizabeth. Bonnie attended Hawthorn Grade School and Lincoln Junior High School and graduated from East High School in 1942. She cherished her childhood and had fond memories of growing up with her sister and her cousins; swimming, ice skating, and learning to tap dance at Liberty Park.
Bonnie attended the LDS Business College. At a young age, Bonnie began her Federal Civil Service career as a Clerk Stenographer at the Station Hospital, Army and Air Force Base Training Center, and later moved onto The Naval Supply Depot and the Veterans Hospital.
In 1947, Bonnie married Dale Duffin and had three daughters together, Cathy Jean, Karren Lee, and Patricia Ann. Karren passed away shortly after her birth. Bonnie and Dale later divorced. Bonnie continued her career in several positions at the U.S. Army General Publication Center and Defense Department in Ogden, Utah including as a secretary to the Deputy Commander.
Later in life, Bonnie also volunteered at McKay Dee Hospital. In 1988, Bonnie married her, “sweetheart,” Donald Minnoch Jr. and they were later sealed for eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple in 1996. Bonnie and Donald enjoyed many happy years together, hunting, fishing, camping, and remodeling their home in Ogden canyon. Donald passed away November 16, 2001. Bonnie missed him dearly and patiently waited until she was able to reunite with him again.
Bonnie moved to Price, Utah in 2008 to be closer to her family. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel and knew the love her Heavenly Father had for her. She served faithfully in many callings; her favorite was being a visiting teacher.
Bonnie loved to shop, decorate her home for holidays, and to read a good book. She also loved sunsets, the moon rising, autumn leaves, snow falling, and planting flowers in the spring. She loved to watch, “The Young and The Restless,” “The Golden Girls,” and “Music and The Spoken Word.” Bonnie loved her family so very much and was incredibly proud to each one of them. She was constantly concerned about their well-being and happiness and helped them all in so many ways. So many happy memories have been made spending time with Bonnie for holidays, birthdays, and special occasions. Special requests were always made for her to make her lasagna, apple pie, and Nana’s Heavenly Hash. Bonnie said that her happiest times were watching her daughters grow up to be wonderful mothers to her grandchildren.
Her family loved her dearly and will miss her beautiful smile, kind words, endless support, and influence for good. “If there ever comes a time we cannot be together, keep me in your heart; I will stay there forever.” – Winnie the Pooh
