The Dinos were in Vernal over the weekend to take part in the Tournament of Champions, going against schools from Utah, Wyoming and Colorado. Carbon ended up logging a 25th place finish out of 31 teams involved.

Payson High School finished in the top spot followed by Uintah in second. Juab, Wray and Meeker made up the top five.

Brax Tapia was the only Carbon wrestler to place, taking seventh in the 120 class. Colin Fausett at 144 and Jonathon Jewkes at 175, both ended the weekend with winning records at 3-2.

The wrestlers will be back on the mats twice this week, first up they welcome Orem to Price on Wednesday, they will then follow that up by traveling to Salina for a tournament at North Sevier High School.

They will still have a couple of home meets against Richfield and Emery before they wrap up the regular at Canyon View on January 26.
