Castle Country Pregnancy Resource Center (CCPRC) is an organization committed to providing a safe place for those in need of information and support during pregnancy and beyond. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Director, Nikki Jeffs to learn more about their services.

“The Pregnancy Resource Center is a religious non-profit organization we are a 501(c)(3). We’re funded by donations, and operated by trained volunteers, and all of our services are free and confidential regardless of their income,” said Jeffs. Their mission is to enable women and men facing pregnancy decisions to choose life, parent well, and heal a from associated loss, while demonstrating Jesus’ love.

CCPRC offers various services such as Peer Counseling, Earn While You Learn, Post abortion/pregnancy loss support, Adoption referrals, Community assistance referrals, Parenting lessons, Pre-natal classes, and Material assistance. The services are not only for new parents as Jeffs explains, “We also have people who just want to be better parents. So sometimes its experienced parents but they’ve kind of hit a rough spot and they don’t know what to do. We also have those that are grieving because of miscarriage or abortion or stillbirth and we try to assist with that too.” The organization also puts parents in touch with other local resources in the area that can assist them with their pregnancy needs.

Because the CCPRC is a non-profit they rely heavily on donations so they host an annual Baby Bottle Fundraiser to assist them with operating costs.  “This is our main fundraiser for the year. It’s what really gives us the ability to continue operating because there’s a lot of overhead expenses that we have to take care of so we can keep our doors open. So I just encourage everybody to keep their eye out, we’ll have big baby bottles set up at various businesses. One place will even be the Price Post Office, they’ve been wonderful to allow us to put one in there,” explained Jeffs. You can even stop by CCPRC to pick up a smaller baby bottle to fill with your change as an individual or family. The fundraising event will run from Jan. 12 through Feb. 11. If you would rather donate online, you can visit their website or scan the QR code on the giant baby bottle set up inside the businesses. The organization has set a goal to raise $10,000.00 this year and they hope with help from the community they are able to meet this goal.

Another way to donate towards the cause is to bring in gently used baby items such as clothes and equipment. Clothes can include baby, toddler and maternity attire. Right now, they could use some cribs or crib mattresses. The CCPRC is located at 836 East 100 North in Price and can be contacted at (435) 637-5683.
