The Lady Panthers were on the road in Monticello Tuesday night for a region match-up. Pinnacle has had a rough 2022-2023 campaign and the problems continued Tuesday as they dropped the game to Monticello 51-25.

The Panthers hold a 3-14 overall record which includes a 0-4 region mark. They also sit in the No. 20 spot in the RPI, with four regular season games remaining.

Tuesday night, Monticello would put up 4 points in the first quarter as the Lady Panthers came out flat and were unable to score. Moving to the second, Pinnacle scored four points as Monticello put up 12 taking a 16-4 lead into the locker room.

In the second half Monticello put the contest out of reach in third, scoring 21 and holding Pinnacle to 5 points. As they entered the final eight minutes, Pinnacle started the fourth with just nine points, and they found their offense putting up 16 and holding their opponent to 14 in the quarter, but the Lady Panther were unable to rally and fell 51-25.

Heather Kerr put nine points on the board for Pinnacle, Carolina Vasquez added eight and Avree Atwood scored five in the loss.

Pinnacle will be home this Friday to face Monument Valley (12-5, 4-0, No. 4 in 1A). Game time is set for 5:30.
