Deona Rae Cranford Castagna, age 60, passed away at Castleview Hospital in Price on March 14, 2023.

She was born May 31, 1962 in Price, Utah to Sam and Mickey L. Jones Cranford.

Married Charles Castagna June 25, 1993 in Carbon County, Utah.

Deona was a lifelong resident of Carbon and Emery counties where she graduated from Emery High School. She later attended the College of Eastern Utah where she enrolled in the cosmetology program.  She enjoyed embroidery, crocheting and hanging out with her family, especially her grandchildren. Deona loved the outdoors, fishing and camping.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survived by her loving husband, Charles Castagna, Price; children, Nathan Cranford, Elmo, Leanza Castagna, Price, LaNell Castagna, Price, Lexie Castagna, Price; grandchildren, Aislyn, Whitley and Brooks; mother, Mickey Cranford, Wellington; siblings, Bill (Joanie) Cranford, Price, Russell Cranford, Price, Brenda (Albert) Hughes, Tucson, AZ., Jerry Cranford, Wellington.

Preceded in death by her father, Sam Cranford.

Funeral service, Friday, March 24, 2023, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to the service.  Interment, Cliffview Cemetery in Price.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome and may share memories of Deona online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
