Price City is excited to be hosting a Renaissance Festival on Apr. 28 and 29 at Washington Park. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Event Coordinator, Megan Marshall to discuss all the details for this year’s festival.

This two-day event will be full of fun activities and entertainment for families to enjoy. “We’ve got some spectacular dance performers, we also got stringed bands, the real folk are coming through the area and so the timing worked out well, they’re going to be performing. They perform at Comic-Con and Fan X and all over the country, so we’re really excited to get them. The activities that are there, because this is a full family friendly event, again free to attend. We’re going to have lots of free activities for your kids to participate in,” said Marshall. There will be a petting zoo, swings, bounce houses, entertainment, costume contest, horseshoe tournament and so much more to enjoy.

Also, in attendance for the vent will be several vendors selling items or food to the public. “The booths are unbelievable some of the vendors that we got from all over the country. We got them as far as Washington State, and Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, this whole region is coming together for this event. There a lot of vendors that you haven’t seen before because they are very era-appropriate and themed. You’re going to get a lot of handmade wares, leathers, wood working, there’s just so much to name and the food,” said Marshall. A lot of the food vendors have never been to the Price area so this will be an exciting feature during the festival.

The main sponsor for this festival is Price City, plus some other local businesses as Marshall explains, “Waste Water Logistics have been a really huge help in getting this going as well. So we have plenty of facilities for everyone, they’re one of our major sponsors. Juniper Kitchen, they’re the ones putting on the Beer Garden in the park and they’re the ones sponsoring the after-party at Juniper Kitchen. So the building out there is absolutely perfect for the theme. We’re going to have another fire performance live out there during the after-party on Saturday, free to attend, themed food, also something you don’t want to miss.”
