Judy Dipo Hurdsman, the loving daughter of George Lincoln Dipo and Dora Helen Lindsay, passed away peacefully in Price, Utah at the Goodlife Senior Living on May 19, 2023 at the age of 74. Judy was born on June 8, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her fondest memories of her youth were living in South Salt Lake near her cousins with her four brothers and only sister. The family later moved to Holiday where she attended Granite High School and the University of Utah.
Judy married Michael Hurdsman on the 19th of April 1968 in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Sandy where she worked for Mt. Bell Telephone as an operator until she applied for a frameman position. Judy won a contested bid for this job and was the first woman frameman for the company.
She served in many church positions as a teacher, Cub Scout Den Mother and leader. She enjoyed attending the week-long Wood Badge training at Beaver High Adventure Base. She also served as the Huntington 4th Ward Relief Society President for several years.
Judy loved her home and was constantly decorating, painting and repainting everything. She was the home doctor for her six children and home remedy books lined the shelves. Judy bottled fish, chicken, elk, beans and other commodities to fill the shelves of her kitchen. She enjoyed camping and the great outdoors, as long as it was not in a tent.
Judy is survived by her husband, Michael Hurdsman; children, Darrin M. Hurdsman, Becky Lyn (Tommy) Bunnell, Kevin G. (Erin) Hurdsman, Brandin K. Hurdsman, Ethan T. (Heidi) Hurdsman, Tifnie A.
