The Castle Country Pregnancy Resource Center is hosting a community Walk for Life on Saturday, June 24 at 8:00 am at the Price River Walkway and the entire community is invited to attend. Castle Country Radio was able to sit down with Event Representative, Monica Lambert to get all the details.
“We’re very excited about this, it is a two mile walk that starts at Price River and what this walk is, that you need to get your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers to donate and sponsor you for this walk. We also are doing teams and right now we have 28 individuals, two of those individuals is a father and son and they’re competing to see who can raise the most money for this walk, and right now we have four teams that can compete,” said Lambert. This is going to be a great event for all ages to get out and enjoy an early morning walk along the Price River Walkway.
There will be prizes awarded to the individual and team that raises the most money. “We have great prizes during this walk. The person that raises the most money, first place is a Rider 900 DXL Pellet Grill and it was donated by Sutherlands – thank you very much. Second place is a Yeti Roadie 48 wheeled cooler, and these things are really cool, everybody loves Roadie coolers and donated by local businesses. We also have great prizes for third and fourth place winners. One of the things that we’re really excited about because our businesses have helped us a lot to sponsor this walk, for any individual that raises $150.00 or more, we have this really, really cool prize, everybody is going to want one, everybody needs them, and so sign-up for our walk,” explained Lambert.

All the money earned from the walk stay local to help the Castle Country Pregnancy Resource Center expenditures.
