Terrie Lee Cunningham, 64, passed peacefully at her home on June 17, 2023, surrounded by her family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Terrie was born June 10, 1959 in Carbon County. She remained in Helper for most of her life and loved her small town. Terrie always looked forward to community events and supporting her friends and neighbors. Terrie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Terrie served her community for over 40 years while working at Castleview Hospital; first as an LPN in the nursery and later as part of the radiology unit. She loved her time working with the new babies and gained lifelong friends during her time there.

An avid Utah football fan, Terrie’s dedication to the Utes was known by all who loved her. Whether in person or on TV, she watched every game and loved trading play-by-play commentary with her family.

Terrie loved her family above all else. Her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids were her entire world. Family time and supporting her kids were her favorite things to do. At any given time she was a cheerleader, theater expert, vocal coach, team mom, Buzz lightyear collector and soccer enthusiast, just to name a few. If her grandkids loved something, so did she.

Terrie loved the holiday season, especially Christmas. She enjoyed creating Christmas magic for those she loved. Her jingle bell socks, snowmen and love of holiday Reese’s were a hit with friends and family.

Terrie was preceded in death and welcomed home by her dad, Tony O’Berto; her father, Gary Fowler; her precious aunts, Mila and Pat; as well as her loving grandparents.

She is survived by mom, Lorna; stepmom, Peg; brothers, Rick (Misty), Les (Lisa), Gary Dean (Sandy); children, Greg (Karen), Jeremy (Brittany), Amy (Marc); grandchildren, Kristin, Dustin, Alyssa (Carter), Austin, Wyatt, Miles, Kendon, Grayson, Charley and three beautiful great-grandbabies.

A special thank you to Castleview Hospital, Utah Cancer Specialists, Dr. Justin Call & Staff, Renew Hospice and her angels, Holly Carter and Kami Olsen.
