Carbon golf got the season underway Wednesday as they welcomed the region to the Carbon Country Club. Defending 3A champion Richfield took the top spot with the Dinos finishing in third.

Carbon said goodbye to Bode Salas and Daren Garner two huge contributors to the team the last four years but, that gives other players to step up and make some noise this season and beyond.

Richfield took the top spot shooting a 294 followed by Juab with a 308. Carbon logged a third place finish with 315. Emery shot a 332 and Delta carded a 334.

Freshman Dayton King led Carbon shooting a 75. Senior Kyler Clark had a 79, junior Rydge Butler shot had an 80 and senior Jack Hedin had an 81.

Carbon gets back on the course on August 15 when they travel to North Sanpete.
