Coming off a season opening loss against Union, the Lady Dino soccer team headed to Fillmore to take on the Millard Eagles. Carbon discovered their offense and their defense as they took the 8-0 victory.

Still early in the season the Lady Dinos were looking to rebound from the loss on the road to Union last week. And they were definitely up to the task at hand against the Eagles.

Carbon came out in the first half putting a pair of goals in the back of the net, also holding the Eagles scoreless, as the Dinos took a 2-0 lead into half time.

In the second half the Lady Dinos found another gear, finding the back of the net six times, and senior goalkeeper Fortune Ward was flawless between the pipes pitching a shutout with four saves.

Freshman Blythe Bradford and senior Amiah Timothy were both unstoppable as both scored three goals each, and they each added an assist. Sophomore Kenzie Morgan and freshman Chrissy Jones had one goal each with Jones adding an assist and sophomore Bailey Johnson had an assist in the Carbon win.

Carbon heads back to the pitch today as they welcome in North Sanpete, in not only the home opener but their first region contest of the season.

The game gets underway at 4:00 on the Carbon High School field.
