
The Carbon cross-country team traveled to Fairview and the Skyline Mountain Resort and the Sanpete Classic. With seven schools from around the area and over 50 runners in both the boy’s and the girl’s divisions, the Lady Dinos finished the day in third and the boys in fourth.
On the girl’s side, it was the team from Mountain Ridge taking the top spot. North Summit landed in second with Carbon finishing third. Payson and Spanish Fork rounded out the top five.
For the Dinos sophomore Rozlyn Stowe finished in first place with a time of 18:28.0 a full minute ahead of Cailey Braken of Mountain Ridge. Sophie Taylor finished in sixth. Ellie Hanson, Aly Bryner, and Alexa Jones made up the rest of Carbon’s top finishers.
Mountain Ridge finished first on the boy’s side as well, with Manti in second. Spanish Fork, Carbon, and Payson made up the top five.
Easton Humes was the top finisher for Carbon ending the day in fourth. Logan McEvoy, Evan Criddle, Dallin Humes, and Bracken Hanson were the top finishers for the Dinos.
Carbon will now be off until September 20, when teams from across the state will come to Price for the Carbon Invitational at the Carbon Country Club. The start time is set for 3:30 p.m..
