Thursday night the No.2 and No. 3 teams in 3A volleyball met on the court in Price. The Lady Dinos, No. 3, and the Lady Spartans, No. 2 faced off with the No.1 spot up for grabs. The Dinos took the victory in straight sets and moved back to the top of the rankings.

Carbon holds a 10-2 record overall and Emery now holds a 14-2 record, losing their last two matches.

The first set could have belonged to anyone with the Dinos taking the heavily contested set 26-24. The opening set may have taken something out of the Spartans however as they would go on to drop set two, 25-13.

The third and final set went to the Lady Dinos 25-16, allowing Carbon to take the straight-set victory and reclaim the No. 1 spot in the RPI.

Emery sits in the No. 3 spot with a 14-2 overall record and holds a 4-2 Region 12 mark. They will get back at it on Tuesday when they take on Richfield in the Spartan Center. Gametime is set for 6:30 p.m..

Carbon is at 10-2 overall and 5-2 in Region 12 play. They will face North Sanpete on Tuesday at home. Gametime is set for 6:30 p.m..
