Carbon cross country welcomed teams from around the state to the Carbon Country Club for the Carbon Invitational. There is something to be said for being home as the girls claimed the top finish and the boys landed in fourth.

Rozyln Stowe claimed first place with her time of 18:12.1, adding to her list of top finishes this year. Sophie Taylor was close behind in fifth. Ellie Hanson, Ada Bradford, and Aly Bryner made up the top Carbon finishers.

Carbon claimed the top team spot on the girl’s side with Emery finishing in second. Payson, Richfield, and Manti finished out the top five.

Emery and Uintah shared first place on the boy’s side of the course followed by Payson. Carbon and Richfield made up the remainder of the top five.

Easton Humes ended the day fifth overall, Logan McEvoy ended in ninth. Evan Criddle, Matthew Stromness, and Dallin Humes made up the top five finishers for Carbon.

Carbon heads to Grand next week, before regional and state championships start up.
