catch-me-if-you-can

The Utah State University Eastern Theatre Department is ready to present their first production of the school year entitled Catch Me If You Can. This production will run from Oct. 5 -7 and Oct. 12 – 14.

“So obviously I don’t want to give out too much away with the plot, but more or less it takes place in the Catskill’s of Sullivan County. More or less, my wife goes missing and I’m doing all I can to find her. One day, somebody shows up claiming to be my wife and I’m the only one who thinks that she isn’t. So it’s kind of a little, who done it? Don’t know what is really going on until the very end,” said Tyden Gee. The play is by Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert and directed by Dr. Corey Ewan.

Another student, Ryker Childs came to talk about his character in the play. “So I play Inspector Lavine. He is the country cop. He’s busy, he’s always running around, and this case to him is like this is ridiculous, I’ve got better thing to do. So that’s how it starts out, and then it gets a little more serious towards the end and the mystery peaks, I guess,” said Childs. This mystery-comedy will sure to keep the audience interested till the very end.

“We open on Oct. 5, we have a show every night at 7:30 pm – Oct. 5, 6 and 7. Then again, the Oct. 12, 13, and 14. Tickets will be $15.00 plus tax. As soon as tickets are available, you’ll be able to go on the Eastern site to find those, they can also be purchased at the door,” said Gee. The production will take place in the Peterson Black Box Theatre on the USU Eastern Campus inside the Central Instruction Building.

The next production for the USU Eastern Theatre Department will take place in February 2024 entitled Something Rotten. To learn more about the USU Eastern Theatre Department visit their website at https://eastern.usu.edu/
