The Fifth Annual A Wee Bit Wicked Witches Ball will take place on Friday, October 6 at the Huntington City Park beginning at 5:00 pm. Castle Country Radio was able to speak over the telephone with Event Organizer, Lesa Miller to get all the details.

“Our ball has been going on for five years. We’ve had our little dance group that went around and just played and had fun, but the ball, this is our fifth annual ball, gets a little bigger each year, its fun, fun, fun,” said Miller. All members of the community are invited to attend and participate in this event. Halloween costumes are not required but are encouraged.

There will be food trucks set up in the park for guests to enjoy some dinner. “We have a lady that she will be doing hamburgers, hot dogs and sloppy joes – kind of family friendly, affordable for families. We got Rubens BBQ – all the men and the people that like barbeque and then we have JanaKae Magann and she will have Chinese food,” said Miller. So, there will be a variety of food vendors on hand throughout the evening festivities. You will have the chance to work off the delicious food at the dance which starts at 8:00 pm with a live deejay.

There will be craft/retail vendors set up inside the park selling goods to guests too. “We’ve got just kind of a good mix. We’ve got children’s clothing, earrings, crochet things, home décor, kitchen things, mason jar cozies. Freeze-dried is the new thing, there’s two different freeze-dried vendors, and also a women’s western clothing line,” said Miller. There is sure to be some unique items being sold during the event.

There will be a live and silent auction to benefit the Shop with A Cop program. “Yes, it goes to a great place, it goes towards Shop with A Cop. We were so well supported last year, that they were able to double the children at the elementary that they could help, and so that was wonderful. Twice as many kids, got the opportunity to go with them, and it got us hooked. We’re going to do that every year, good community support, the city supports us. It’s a great thing to do,” said Miller. The light parade will begin at 7:30 pm and everyone is invited to participate by either entering a float, riding a bike or just walking the short parade route.
