Eddie Raymond Justesen, passed away peacefully after a brief, severe illness. He was surrounded by his family, as his spirit left his earthly body and passed back through the veil to join his Heavenly Father and loved ones who have passed.

I was born in Price, Utah on December 20, 1961 to my father, Eddie Raymond Justesen, Sr. and mother. I met my soulmate, the love of my life and my best friend, Lara Jane Nichols in late 2007. We were married in Orange, California on August 30, 2008. We spent all of our free time together, fishing, hunting, camping, rock hunting, and playing board games. Shortly after we married, we decided to start a family of our own. Our precious daughter, my princess, LilyAnna Jane was born on April 2, 2011. Then on February 6, 2014 we welcomed our strong and spunky daughter, Journey Celeste into our little family. I had never been happier. I enjoyed being a step-dad to my three children, Brendan, Taylor, and Ciara. On November 19, 2018 I was privileged to be granted the legal adoption of my (then) 26-year-old step-daughter, Ciara.

I love football and I’m a diehard Denver Broncos fan. I love spending every available moment with my wife and daughters. We enjoyed family game night every weekend and did everything together as a family. I’ve always been a hard worker and take pride in my work. I began working at the age of 14 for Grako Tires. I worked for Price River Coal from 1981-1987. Then, I went on to work at Joy Mining Machinery (now known as Komatsu Mining) for 28 years from 1988 to November of 2016. I retired from there in November of 2016, then went to work at Castleview Hospital. I worked as the janitor in the Emergency Department throughout the entire pandemic, then went on to work in Engineering at Castleview until April of 2023. I left Castleview and went to work for Price Municipal Corp in the Parks and Cemeteries Department.

Survived by my loving and devoted wife, Lara Justesen; my adoring daughters, LilyAnna Jane, Journey Celeste, and Ciara Ashley, and by my two step-sons, Brendan (Jordon) Gordon of Pennsylvania and my step-son, Taylor (Ashley) Gordon of Price, Utah. Also survived by my six grandkids, Juliun, Ashtan, HarleyRae, Henacee, Brixton, and Ryatt; by my sister, Susan Christensen of Price, Utah; brother-in-law, Gary (Hazel) Christensen of Price, Utah; and favorite nephew, Mike (Tammie) Christensen of Price, Utah.

Preceded in death by my father, Eddie Justesen, Sr. and my uncle, Rudy Farnsworth.

Eddie was a hardworking, devoted husband, father, and friend. Eddie was loved by everyone who had the privilege to know him or work with him. He always went above and beyond and did it with a smile. He would do absolutely anything for his wife and children. His passing has left a huge void on our hearts and we will miss him every moment of every day. His love and laughter will live on in our hearts.

We’ll see you soon sweetheart.

Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington.
