Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, Terry J Erickson, age 64, passed away on Jan 2, 2024.
He was born on Jan 13, 1959 in Price, UT to Erick and Lucille Anderson Erickson. He was always an adventurous kid looking for the next fun thing to do or some way to play a prank on someone, especially his younger sister, Gaylene.
He graduated from Carbon High School and shortly after joined the National Guard, in which he served for 27 years. During that time, he had several deployments including Desert Storm and Operation Freedom in Iraq.
After returning from basic training, he met and married the love of his life, LuAnna, on March 15, 1980, sharing nearly 44 years together. They built a wonderful and happy home for their family in Price.
Terry loved life and continued to find fun where he could. Anyone that knew him could tell you he was always up for a fun challenge. He was very active and loved playing racquetball, working out, and golfing. He also loved spending time with friends and family with whatever free time he had. He was always a kid at heart and loved making people laugh with his pranks and magic tricks. Anytime he was around, you knew you would have a good time.
Terry had a few jobs throughout the years with the most recent being at Bridger Coal Company as a heavy equipment operator for several years. He said he loved his job because he was able to play with all the big trucks. He definitely worked hard and played hard.
Terry was in an accident almost six years ago leaving him paralyzed from the shoulders down. This, of course, drastically changed his life and the lives of those he loved. As difficult as it was, he continued to touch the lives of those he knew with his sense of humor and loving disposition. He was a wonderful husband, father, family member, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, LuAnna; three daughters, Tiffany (Adam Harris), Trisha (Tyler Clair), and Tammy; father, Erick; mother, Lucille; sister, Gaylene; brother, Rick; along with seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Don Erickson.
Funeral service, Monday, January 8, 2024, 10:00 a.m., Price 1st Ward Chapel (150 South 500 East, Price, Utah 84501). The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home and at the church Monday one hour prior to the service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price, Utah.
