Our loving son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and dear friend, Charlie A. Sandoval, 70, passed away peacefully January 12, 2024 in Provo, Utah.  Charlie left the earthly existence willingly knowing that his Heavenly Father would be waiting for him with welcoming arms.

He was born May 20, 1953 in Dragerton, Utah to Virgil J. and Dolores Aguayo Sandoval.

Charlie was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and graduate of Carbon High School Class of 1971.  He attended the College of Eastern Utah and later enlisted in the US Air Force where he served four years.  After returning from the service, he married Carol Swatsell and they had two children, Bryan and Kimberly prior to their divorce.  On December 27, 1985, he married Esther Martinez in Price, Utah and became a father to Danielle, Anna and Larry Chavez.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Esther Sandoval, mother, Dolores Sandoval, son, Bryan (Dawnette) Sandoval, daughter, Kimberly Sandoval Wood, all of Price; special granddaughters, Chantelle Chavez, Price, Briann Finn, Maricopa, AZ; two brothers and one sister, David (Anna) Sandoval, Murray, Ernest (Sandra) Sandoval, Grafton, WI, Jessieann (Brad) Huff, Price; sister-in-law, JoAnn Garcia, Price; 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and his beloved nieces and nephews.

Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Sandoval; grandsons, Braxton Sandoval and Chase Wood; step-children, Anna, Larry and Danielle Chavez; and his mother-in-law, Andrea Martinez.

Funeral Mass, Monday, January 22, 2024, 10:00 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church.  Vigil service, Sunday evening 7:00 p.m., Notre Dame Catholic Church where the family will receive friends Sunday and Monday one hour prior to services.  Committal service, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.  Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price and Huntington where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mithellfuneralhome.net
