Gayla Beatty, age 78, passed away peacefully at the Pinnacle Care Center in Price, Utah on January 15, 2024. Gayla was born on October 12, 1945 in Provo, Utah to Lynn Alva Vincent and Fauntella Western. Married James B. Dennis, later divorced, and together they had one son, Jim Dennis. Gayla later married Richard Beatty, together they had one son, Matt Beatty. Richard Beatty preceded her in death.

Throughout her life she had many hobbies. She was an avid craft maker and could always be found crocheting and knitting in the comforts of her home. She enjoyed watching TV shows, especially the Utah Jazz Games. She truly loved animals and had a very special bond with her dog, Boozer.

Gayla is survived by her sons, Jim (Cathleen) Dennis, Provo; and Matt (Christine) Beatty, Tooele; and three grandchildren, Bailey, and Brax Dennis, and Roman Fissourou; along with a large community of friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Beatty; infant daughter, Sonja Dennis; and her brothers.
