The Lady Spartans were coming off of a big win when they welcomed North Sanpete to the Spartan Center for “Senior Night”. Emery jumped out in the first half, putting away the Hawks early on and earning the 57-33 win.

Emery says goodbye to three seniors Karleigh Stilson, Libby Faimalo, and Aliya Lester. Tuesday, the Spartans were in Price and took a 63-61 win over the Lady Dinos.

On Thursday, the Hawks came to town and Emery was ready, taking it to North Sanpete in the first half scoring 24 while surrendering just 11, as Emery would take the lead into the locker room at halftime.

In the third quarter, Emery came out, pouring it on putting up 22 holding the Hawks to 11, and then moving into the fourth keeping pace with North Sanpete and taking the 57-33 win.

Kenadie Maughn scored 15 pulling down three rebounds. Katelyn Nielson added 13 with three boards and a pair of steals, and Kali Jensen had eight with six rebounds and six steals.

The win moves the Lady Spartans to 14-8 overall and 9-5 Region 12 mark. The final RPI will be released on Saturday as will the bracket for the 3A State Championships, which will begin on February 13 at home sites followed by the second round on February 16. The final rounds will begin on February 22 at the Sevier Valley Center in Richfield.
