The Carbon Dino boy’s basketball team traveled to Cedar City to face the Canyon View Falcons. The Falcons jumped out in the first quarter and despite Kahner Raby’s 34 points the Dinos fell in their final regular season game 60-53.
Carbon has made it to the end of the regular season, with an 8-14 overall mark and a 4-10 Region 12 mark.
The game hinged on the first quarter where Canyon View came out firing doubling up the Dinos 24-12. Things would slow down in the second for both teams, but Canyon View would extend its lead taking a 35-21 lead to the locker room at halftime.
The second half was when Carbon tried to claw its way back putting up 13 in the third and in the fourth quarter they would outscore the Falcons 19-11, but Canyon View had built up a sizeable lead taking the 60-53 win.
Raby added 11 rebounds to his 34 points, Zeke Wilson scored seven pulling down nine boards and dished out four assists, and Carter Warburton added seven to go along with two rebounds.
The Dinos ended the season in the No. 12 spot in the final RPI that was released on Saturday.
They will get back on the court on Saturday, February 17 when they will travel to face the Richfield Wildcats.
