The final RPI rankings were released on Saturday morning by the Utah High School Activities Association. The rankings were compiled all season long and will now be used for placement in the 3A State Championships. The Emery Lady Spartans earned the No. 5 spot while the Carbon Lady Dinos finished the season at No.3.
Grantsville claimed the No. 1 spot followed by Richfield. Carbon, Judge Memorial, and Emery made up the rest of the top five.
The Lady Spartans finished the regular season at 14-8 and closed out the regular season with a win over North Sanpete 57-33. They will face the Manti Templars on Friday at the Spartan Center. In the two contests with the Templars this season, Emery earned a win in both games.
Friday night’s game will get started with the Landon’s Diesel Service Pre-game Show at 6:30 on KOAL 107.3 FM or 750 AM, it will also be streamed at castlecountryradio.com as well as the Castle Country Radio app.
The Lady Dinos finished 17-6 and their last game was a win at home against the Canyon View Falcons, 53-41. They have to wait until Wednesday night to find out who they will face, as they wait for the winner of the Union/Juan Diego contest.
