The Price City Indoor Pool was recently renovated and is now open for public use. Officials wanted to host a Grand Re-Opening Celebration with a week-long party with various activities all week long. Aquatics Director, Tamara Gray was eager to share all the details with Castle Country Radio listeners.
The week starts off with the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, Feb. 26 at 2:00 pm and they are going to offer some great deals on pool passes that day. “Also, we’re doing 15 percent off of all season passes, like six-month or year passes. We’re going to have a family night on Monday so for a family of five it’s $10.00 to get in. On Tuesday we’re going to do, because on Tuesday and Thursday evenings we run a water aerobics class. So we’re going to let people come try that for just a $1.00.,” stated Gray. The evening water aerobics starts at 6:00 pm till 7:00 pm.
On Wednesday the concession stand will be selling $1.00 churros for guests to enjoy whether that’s if you come to swim or just swing by for a sweet treat. “We’re also going to set the Wibit up so people can come check that out and see if they want to rent it out for any special occasion coming up,” stated Gray. Then on Thursday, the pool will offer 15 percent off-season passes again, along with $1.00 churros being sold too. Then on Friday they will offer $1.00 water aerobics from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
Now that the indoor pool is up and running, officials have to now shut down the wave pool portion to do some upgrades. “As people know that have been coming swimming the plaster on the bottom of the pool has been coming up. So we do have to do a full chip out of it, so we will be re-surfacing the bottom of the pool. Like I said, we have to do a full chip out and get rid of all the plaster, we are on our last layer that we can have. We are planning on taking the dome down a little early, within the next few weeks. Hopefully getting that project started in the middle of March so that we can have it good to go for summer,” said Gray.
