Longtime Carbon High School contributors Jeff and Rachelle Blanc received the Utah High School Activities Association’s Super Fan of the Year award for 2023-24.

Nominated by Carbon High School, Jeff and Rachelle have been supporting high school activities for over 35 years. The UHSAA presented the award to the Blanc family Saturday afternoon in Richfield at the 3A state basketball tournament.

The two have become synonymous with Carbon High School athletics. In addition to coaching many sports at the school, the couple have also contributed many hours to run scoreboards, announce games, keep stats, and take tickets.

Jeff and Rachelle have had four children who graduated from Carbon High School and all of them participated in athletics and school activities. Even after their children graduated, they have continued to support the student-athletes and programs.

“Sports offer opportunities for students to learn the values of teamwork, individual and group responsibility,” said the Blancs when asked why high school sports and activities are important. “High School activities build strong and lasting relationships and bonds. We love our community and what better way is there to build a strong community than to spend time with youth involved in high school activities?”

Jeff and Rachelle have been married for 30 years. They have four children and five grandsons.
