Marilyn Lois Hamilton Behunin passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024, just two months shy of her 82nd birthday. She was surrounded by family and loved at her time of passing.

She was born on April 21, 1942, in Price, Utah to Clarence and Lois Parry Hamilton. She grew up in Martin, Utah with her two brothers and two sisters.

In 1969, she met the love of her life, Darel Alec Behunin and after a whirlwind romance they married on September 3, 1969. They have been happily married for 54 years.

Together they spent time in Germany while Alec was in the Army. When he was discharged, they bought a home in Martin close to her parents where they raised two children. In 2005, Marilyn and Alec were able to build their dream home in Ferron, Utah where Marilyn spent her remaining years.

Marilyn was an avid bowler. She was the president of the King Koal Women’s Bowling Association for many years. She went to many bowling tournaments with her team, the Dirty Diggers. She was able to attend nationals and came back with a third-place victory in the women’s solo division.

She loved the outdoors where she enjoyed camping and going on 4-wheeler rides whenever she could. She loved living in Ferron because it was like camping all the time.

Whenever family and friends came to visit, there was always a card game to be played. Marilyn was hard to beat when the games began. She loved watching the old classic black and white movies and the Wizard of Oz was a must see every Christmas.

Marilyn loved music boxes and was always on the lookout for her next find. She enjoyed listening to her favorite singers Celine Dion and Barbara Streisand. She was also a wonderful artist. She loved to draw and was willing to help anyone learn.
