The Lady Dinos welcomed the Union Cougars to Price on Wednesday. Carbon used a big fifth inning to take the lead and put the Cougars away taking the 10-4 win.

The RPI has been removed as the season is coming to an end, with just three games left on the schedule.

Union put one run on the board in the top of the first, and then Carbon would answer right back tying up the score. Union had taken a one-run lead heading into the bottom of the third,  the Dinos came up to the plate with two outs and two on as Danica Adams hit a grounder and reached on an error by the catcher, Brielle Sandoval, and Taylor Secor each scored.

In the fifth, with the score 6-3, Adri Abeyta stepped up to the plate with the bases loaded and sent a triple to center field driving in Samantha Riddle, Bella Simkins, and Aleece Ardohain to expand the Carbon lead to 9-3. Abeyta would score later in the inning to put the score at 10-3, and Carbon would surrender one more run in closing out the Cougars 10-4.

Kylan Sorenson earned three hits, scored two runs, and collected one RBI for Carbon. Abeyta had two hits, scored twice, and had three RBIs, and Riddle had two runs and one run scored.

Sorenson had a great day in the circle and also had great support from her defense in the field behind her as she earned the complete game win, giving up seven hits, four runs, three earned, and struck out four.

The Dinos will get back on the diamond on Friday when they welcome the Juab Wasps to Price.
