Carbon High School senior Madi Orth has signed a National Letter of Intent to play volleyball at Snow College.

Orth, a four-year starter at Carbon and 3A All-State first team selection in 2023, signed in front of her family, teammates and coaches Monday at Carbon High School.

“It has been an honor and a privilege to be Madi’s volleyball coach” said Carbon head coach Teresa Mower. “I have been blessed to watch her grow and develop into an amazing athlete and an even better young woman. I have no doubt that she will continue to achieve greatness in all her endeavors.”

Orth leaves Carbon as one of the most decorated players in the program’s recent history. Starting as a freshman, Orth earned three All-State selections, a 3A All-Star selection, multiple All-Region nods and was also named the Deseret News Athlete of the week.

Statistically, Orth delivered a standout senior campaign as she finished with 426 kills, 336 digs, 41 aces and 54 blocks. One of Orth’s most impressive achievements is her remarkable tally of over 1,100 career kills.

A multi-sport athlete at Carbon, Orth has also earned three All-State basketball selections. She will join a Snow College program that is rich in history and competes in the highly talented Scenic West Athletic Conference.

“While we are sad to see Madi leave our volleyball family, we’re also filled with excitement for the next chapter of her journey,” said Mower. “We are eagerly looking forward to cheering her on as she embarks on her next adventure.”
