Soon the heat of the summer will give way to the chill of fall and with that everyone’s mind goes to Friday Night Lights and fall sports. School in the Carbon District starts up on August 15, and sports will start up the week before on August 9, when the Lady Dino soccer squad takes to the field first, all the other sports will follow with Lady Dinos volleyball being the last sport to begin on August 19.

The Lady Dinos soccer team played to an impressive 11-7 overall record, earning a 9-5 mark in Region 12 play, they also claimed the No.7 spot in the final RPI of the season. Carbon made their way to the quarterfinals of the 2023 State Championships falling to eventual champ Ogden. This season they will get going on August 9 on the road @ Millard, their first home game will be on August 13 against Union, and game time will be 4:oo p.m..  The initial RPI rankings will be revealed on August 31, the final bracket will be released on October 9 and the tournament will begin on October 12. The Carbon Cross Country team will get back to work on the road for the Premier Invitational on August 10 at the Cottonwood Complex. Last season the Lady Dinos earned a third place finish and the boys finished sixth in the final state competitions. September 18 will be the Carbon Invitational at the Carbon Country Club, and then on October 9, the Carbon Country Club will host the Region 12 Championships. The season will come to a close with the State Championships on October 30 at Sugar House Park with Nike Nationals to follow on November 22-23 in Mesa, Arizona. The Lady Dino Tennis team will get things started on August 12 when they will travel to Roosevelt to face the Union Cougars in non-region action. Their first home matches will take place on August 16 when they will face the Emery Lady Spartans in the first of two meetings. The region tournament will take place in Mt. Pleasant at North Sanpete High School on September 24-25 and the State Tournament will be October 3-5 at Liberty Park. Click on the link below for the Lady Dinos tennis schedule.


Carbon Dinos golf will tee off on August 13 at the Skyline Golf Course, the home course of the North Sanpete Hawks. The next week on August 21, the region will come to the Carbon Country Club. The Dinos will make the trip to Millsite, home of the Emery Spartans on September 26, and the season will come to a close on October 16 & 17 at The Ridges Golf Course in West Valley for the State Championships. Carbon football will get started on August 16 when they will be on the road to take on American Leadership Academy with first-year coach Bradon Rushton at the helm. Carbon will take the field for the first time this season when they welcome Grand to Price on August 23. The Dinos will visit the Spartans on September 13 in Castle Dale. Homecoming will be on October 4 against North Sanpete. The initial RPI will be released on September 16, and the playoffs will begin on October 25 with the Championship Game taking place on November 16, at Southern Utah University. Lady Dino volleyball will be the final fall sport to start the season when they travel to Roosevelt on August 19 to take on Union. Two days later on August 21, Draper American Prep Academy will come to Price for the home opener for Carbon. September 19 will be the first of two meetings between the Lady Dinos and the defending State Champion Lady Spartans. The initial RPI rankings will be released on September 11, with the first round of the playoffs beginning on October 26, with the State Tourney starting on November 1 at Utah Valley University.
