David Wayne Coon, of Carbonville, or Plumbing by Dave, as many of you knew him, passed away peacefully July 30, 2024 at the Bennion Veterans Home in Payson, Utah at age 77.
Dave was born on November 29, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah to parents Isaac Levell (Ted) and Lella C Jorgensen Coon. He served in the US Navy and then in 1968, Dave married Jolene ‘Jo’ and together they had two sons, Travis, and Brandon. They moved to Carbonville in the early 80s and that’s when Dave started and ran his successful business, Plumbing by Dave.
Dave loved hunting and fishing, boating, and camping. After his wife passed away, Dave spent much of his time with the second love of his life, his Harley. He spent a lot of time with his family and friends on Jeep rides, often in the passenger seat, teaching his granddaughter Tiffany how to drive.
Dave is survived by sons, Travis (Tracy) Coon of Price, Brandon (Codi Bray) Coon of Layton; two granddaughters, Tiffany Coon of Price, Tennysen (Tyler) Werttemberger of Salt Lake City; and sister, Janice (Ed) Lee of Price.
Dave was preceded in death by his wife Jo; parents, Isaac and Lella Coon; brother, Dennis Coon; and sister, Sharon Eiden.
Funeral service, Thursday August 1, 2024, 11:00 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home in Price, Utah. The family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home one hour prior to the service. Interment, Cliffview Cemetery, Price.
