Our loving mother, grandmother and best friend, Marlene Jennifer Pappas Parkin, age 75, passed away September 23, 2024 in Price.

Marlene was born in her beloved Kenilworth, Utah on June 28, 1949 to Andrew Todd and Lucille Pappas.  Married her sweetheart, Ronald Perry Parkin on March 1, 1969 in Las Vegas, Nevada; he preceded her in death on December 5, 2004.

Marlene was a lifelong resident of Carbon County and proud resident of Kenilworth where she was blessed with many dear friends and neighbors who became family.  Marlene was a fierce protector of her family and her children meant everything to her.  She lived for her children and Marlene was their rock. She will be dearly missed by her family and community of friends.

She is survived by her son and daughter, Robert Parkin and Diane Parkin, both of Price; grandson, Ryker Parkin, Price; and many other loving relatives and lifelong friends who were blessed to know Marlene.

Marlene is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ron Parkin; sons, David and Shane Parkin; and her longtime friend and companion, Donald Vest who passed away in 2018.
