The Lady Spartans golf squad traveled over the mountain to Sterling and the Palisades Golf course, the home of the Manti Templars, to take part in this week’s region meet. The Union Cougars, who have been dominant all season, maintained their top finish, and Emery finished in fifth.

The Cougars, who have taken the top prize at every meet this season, claimed first with 374 points; North Sanpete was second with 437. Host Manti (480), Carbon (485), and Emery (490) comprised the remainder of the field. Union’s Avery Rasmussen had the low round, shooting an 88.

Lydia Larsen had the low round for the Spartans, shooting a 110. Clarissa Beagley carded a 123, Kodee Behling had a 128, and Rheagan Rhoten shot a 129 to round out the top scoring four for the Lady Spartans.

Avery Laws (130), Lailey Downard (131), and Ella Kelley (144) also took part for Emery.

Next up for Region 13 is a trip to the Skyline Mountain course, the home of the North Sanpete Hawks, on Tuesday, April 14.
