Donald John Lloyd, affectionately known as Don, passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 45. Born on December 8, 1978, Don was a true embodiment of the cowboy spirit, living a life filled with adventure and service.
Don married the love of his life, Amber Lloyd, on February 29, 2004. Together, they built a loving family, raising four children: Kimberley Shawn Lloyd, Jessie Lynn Lloyd, Donald John Brayden Lloyd, and Eric Randle Lloyd. Don’s family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A man of the mountains, Don found joy in fishing, camping, and horseback riding. His love for the outdoors was matched by his dedication to serving his community. Don volunteered with the Manti Fire Department and served as an EMT and driver for Manti’s ambulance service, always ready to lend a helping hand.
In the spring of 2001, Don embarked on a career with the United States Forest Service as a wildland firefighter. His colleagues remember him as a man of unwavering commitment, always the first to respond in times of need. Don’s generosity and willingness to help others were hallmarks of his character, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
Don’s legacy is one of courage, kindness, and dedication. He leaves behind a community that is better for having known him and a family that will forever hold him in their hearts. His spirit will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
