The Price City update caught up with Council Member Rick Davis who spoke about this year’s decision on spring cleanup and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Generally, every year Price City will host a city-wide spring cleanup but this year the manpower and monies will be focused elsewhere. “Unfortunately, this year we have looked at the cost associated with spring cleanup; well it takes approximately six weeks to complete. We looked at the cost and its over $124,000.00 to do this cleanup. So, as we looked at that, we felt that this year we would like to use that time and effort and the people to go out and start doing things on the roads. This year there will not be a spring cleanup from the city,” explained Davis. This does not mean that property owners should neglect their responsibilities in the upkeep of their property this year.

The city’s currently looking for participants for the annual St. Patrick Day Parade which will be held on Saturday, March 14 at noon on Main Street. “There is no cost for entry. We’re looking for new entries, we’re looking for standard entries, we are looking for entries. So please get in touch with Megan Marshall and let’s get this roster filled up and let’s have a great parade again,” said Davis. One of the great benefits of participating in the parade is it’s a wonderful free advertisement opportunity for any business, sports team, school and civic organization. This year the parade will run the normal parade route as years past. To register for the parade please visit the city’s website at https://www.pricecityutah.com/
