Norma Jane “AJ” McNiel, age 67, passed away on July 1, 2016, she will be dearly missed.

She was born in Longview, Washington on April 1st 1949 to Floyd Levi and Carrie Sue Olsen Long . Norma was the youngest of 7 children.

Norma met and fell in love with Paul McNiel and they were married October 4, 1966 in Clovis, California. With Paul being in the Navy they traveled the world together. They were married 32 years when Paul passed away on July 18, 1998.

Norma was a strong independent woman with a very strong will to live. She was such a kind, caring, loving and supportive mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her family was everything to her and she loved being a Grandma. Her grandchildren brought her great joy and love. She enjoyed horses, country music, her video games and she loved the slots and dancing.

She is survived by her children, Angie McNiel, Paula and Jeff Houston, Jason and Trina McNiel; grandchildren, Somer, Symantha, Joseph, Keri, J’Son, Ashley, Kymberli, Sean, Tabytha; great grandchildren, Jaidyn, Zac, Kylee, Jason, Khlo’ee, Jax, Sylus, Makenna; siblings, Jacky Upton , Nancy Collins , Bill Long , Sharon Long , Jim Long and Bud Long

She is preceded in death by her grandparent’s; her mother, Carrie; step father, Howard Green; husband, Paul; grandson, “Joey “; niece, Cassie; brother in law, Sonny, and many special people.
