
The Carbon Dino volleyball team kept up their winning ways as they welcomed Richfield to Price on Thursday night. The Carbon crowd was out in force as it is Homecoming week, and the Dinos claimed another straight set win.
To say that Carbon has been on a tear lately might be a bit of an understatement. Winners of 12 of their last 14 matches Carbon has only surrendered two sets in those victories.
Thursday night the Dinos were ready taking the first set 25-20. The Wildcats pushed Carbon however the Dinos took set number two with a score of 25-23. Carbon would take the final and deciding set 25-21 claiming the match.
The Dinos were lead in the match by Makenna Blanc who finished with 26 assists, Blanc is also in the top ten in the state in that category.
Emma Christensen had 16 kills in the contest. Christensen sits in the top ten in the state in both kills and digs.
Katie Jones had 12 digs in this one, she is ranked in the top 3 in the state in this category. Also Janzie Jensen is ranked No. 4 and Sydney Orth No. 10 in blocks.
Up next for the Dinos they won’t play again until next Thursday October 1st when they will travel to Castle Dale to take on the Spartans. They will then take a week off before they travel to Richfield to play in the Sevier Valley Center tournament.
Their final home game will be on October 13th when they will face Grand and will wrap up the season on October 20th on the road against South Sevier.
